Chris Mumford supported a private equity firm’s due diligence of a European hotel company through an assessment of the current management team and organisation structure and to present recommendations for alignment with proposed strategy.
In order to achieve the clients goals Chris benchmarked the target company’s organisation structure against its competitor set and presented assessment of company’s existing structure highlighting strengths and gaps. Based on market knowledge and benchmarking, presented a SWOT analysis of the existing management team in terms of capabilities, compensation structure and employer branding. Overlaid this against the private equity firm’s proposed strategy for the business and made recommendations for changes in personnel, compensation plan and structure.
The client was operating within a short timeframe which made the project a fun challenge. Thanks to the depth of our market knowledge and familiarity with the target business we were able to present findings and recommendations within a 2-week window. Chris’s assessment formed part of our client’s business planning and due diligence which ultimately enabled them to make a competitive bid for the target company.
