The Hotel Alternatives Event 2019 – HAE19 – is a hospitality conference for investors, operators and advisers with an interest in the new accommodation real estate spaces that rival hotels. This year’s edition of the conference is taking place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, in London, on the 5th of February.

Traditional hotels have been facing a strong competition in alternative lodging offers since the internet of the sharing economy boomed. Online booking platforms such as Airbnb and Housetrip catering to the global audience have reached the once-presumed untouchable target audience: Hence a person that would have typically gone for the conventional direct booking in an established hotel is now offered a plethora of different options. New accommodation real estate spaces, the likes of capsule hotels, serviced apartments, hostels and student accommodation, have gained their considerable market shares and keep on growing as demand increases.

HAE gathers this market segment’s investors, operators and advisers under one roof for a day filled with keynote presentations, panel discussions, open debates and interviews.
