Jonathan Humphries has led the product development and market development strategy for the creation of Residence Inn in Europe, which was the first branded extended-stay concept in Europe. The Residence Inn set new hospitality standards and defined a new lodging classification within the hospitality industry.
The all suite room product boasts separated areas for sleeping, eating working and relaxing. Public spaces allows guests to socialize and relax outside their apartments.
The first property opened in Munich in 2011. Since its launch, the concept has been further fine-tuned and now boasts twelve properties in EMEA. This year, Marriott opened a new dual-branded property of Residence Inn and Moxy in Frankfurt, Germany.
