Project Description

Alex Lake Zurich

Zurich’s only lake site hotel property, Alex Lake Zurich was constructed in mid 2019. The luxury extended stay property offers clients a unique living experience in Zurich a global centre for banking and finance. Alex Lake Zurich targets the extended-stay market, offering both leisure and business guests exclusivity and luxury. The property features 44 lake-view apartments, all fully equipped with kitchens and terraces.

HoCoSo advised and supported the owners, Corim AG, from the project start to the market and feasibility study, from concept development to ultimately the selection of its operator, Living Circle. For Corim AG this was the first property in the extended stay sector. Therefore, the HoCoSo team advised on the smallest details from the staff room to the equipment needed in the kitchens during the construction.

The stakeholder management for this projected started at the operator selection where HoCoSo set up the selection process and advised on the final choice. Once that operator started the HoCoSo team took a hands on approach and organised multiple workshops in order to support the operators community outreach and truly build a relationship with the local stakeholders.

Guests are offered a spectacular sense of arrival by boat, as Alex’s yacht offers transfers between Zurich city centre and its private marina. Guests are able to appreciate further water sports and spa facilities including sauna, steam room, fitness room, plunge pool and a treatment room.  Besides a private residence lounge and library, there are public spaces to be enjoyed by both locals and guests: an all-year round outside terrace concept with adjacent bar and restaurant to create a community focused space directly on Lake Zurich.

“It was an absolute pleasure working with Corim AG on the Alex Lake Zurich property. Bringing the potential operators to the property for a viewing by boat will always remain a personal highlight. Working with the eventual operator on building its community local community truly showed how a property can create symbiotic relationships with local stakeholders.Irene Zijlmans, Project Director, HoCoSo
